Access for employees and consultants

If you log on to E-tax for businesses using Digital Signature or MitID, you first need to give your employees or advisers access to your tax account. You do so under menu item ‘Profil’ (Profile) and ‘Rettigheder til TastSelv’ (Rights to E-tax for businesses).

Afterwards, you can grant your employees or advisers various rights in relation to your tax account:

• Manage the tax account: You allow other people to use all available functions in the tax account. Usually, you give such rights to the person appointed to act on behalf of your business.
• See the tax account: You allow other people to see, but not update, the data in the tax account.

If you log on to E-tax for businesses using an E-tax password (TastSelv-kode), you can access everything in your tax account and in E-tax for businesses (TastSelv Erhverv) in general. So, logging on to E-tax for businesses with an E-tax password does not enable you to give specific employees certain, restricted rights.

However, using an E-tax password still allows you to give advisers or accountants access to your tax account.

You can give your accountant access to your tax account if he/she is registered as an accountant in E-tax for businesses (TastSelv Erhverv). In order to do so, your accountant needs to register for the accountant scheme in E-tax for businesses, and you should subsequently authorise your accountant. He/she will then be allowed to give employees access if required.
